tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-48719578480358425262024-03-23T20:56:22.004-07:00海星教學分享分享自然教學的經驗和理念海星http://www.blogger.com/profile/06408882957018343245noreply@blogger.comBlogger51125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4871957848035842526.post-5884332412666504962024-03-23T20:45:00.000-07:002024-03-23T20:45:46.461-07:00自校學生別不同<p> 我問自校的兼任木工教師,自校學生與一般主流學生有何分別?他這樣回答</p><p>1. 自校學生會問問題,多野講,上課比較嘈吵;主流學生比較小問問題,通常都比較安靜</p><p>2. 自校學生理解能力強,反應也快。</p><p>3. 自校學生好奇心強</p><p>4. 自校學生不怕用刀,手的協調及掌握用具的能力也較強</p><p><br /></p><p>三位自校畢業生家長(孩仔已升大學或高中)也回答自校畢業生與主流學生不同之處</p><p>1. 自校學生升中後,學習動力依然高,未有被打殘(付「偈」未壞)</p><p>2. 自校畢業生在小學時玩到夠,主流學生反而未玩夠</p><p>3. 自校畢業生理解能力和創意一般較高</p><p>4. 自校畢業生考試或認字能力較弱,但聆聽能力都比較好<br /></p><p>5. 通自校畢業不會是最優透的學生</p><p>6. 自校畢業生生活上都比較獨立自主</p>海星http://www.blogger.com/profile/06408882957018343245noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4871957848035842526.post-68754270551388612932024-03-23T20:30:00.000-07:002024-03-23T20:30:29.121-07:00教的不多,因為孩子都極具創意!<p> 上星期教完跳遠,這星期再教跳高,上課前1小時,其實我不太有把握怎樣教,因為我不會比賽方式的跳高。要怎麼教?學生是小學二年級,8歲這麼小的年紀,又可以怎樣教?儘管在教育學院學了很多方法,其實我一直都很小教跳高的,只因為我不懂得跳高,什麼俯越式,背越式,更是不會。</p><p>但那天,我不知那來的信心,要試試,儘管上課前還是會有點猶豫,但跟協助的老師講要教跳高時,其實是唔想自己有退路。即時老師也有分享她的跳高教學,我心中仍未有一個能用一整堂45分鐘的教案。</p><p>不久,上課了,那時只有2至3 個迷糊的教學法,唯有先做,邊做邊觀察,通過觀察孩子的表現,再修正及調整。<br /></p><p>開始是跑圈,每堂都要跑4至5個圈,是希望鍛鍊孩子耐力,開始時孩子都不願跑,但堅持下來,孩子們都會立準備跑,而且越跑越起勁。<br /></p><p>然後,我請同學在一面牆前面排2行,請他們在牆下垂直向上跳,用手拍一下牆,老師用粉筆記錄學生跳高的高度,鼓勵同學挑戰自己。同學都很有興緻,很快便會助跑了,無論跳遠或跳遠,孩子都喜歡助跑,這不用老師要求或安排,跟隨孩子的心性便可。</p><p>然後,我把預先帶來的跨欄擺出來,有不同的高度,孩子自然便有一個新目標了。教學要有變化,孩子才不覺得悶,新目標出現,自然便想挑戰,這又是孩子的本性,老師只要安排合適的道具,孩子便自然會去嘗試,孩子不怕失敗,有人小心翼翼,亦有人大膽挑戰高度。</p><p>至此,我想好的教學點子已用完了,但有點比賽樣子的跳高目標,還未達成,但要點教,我還沒有底。不過,設定好環境和目標,孩子自然會去做,而且有可能做得比大人想的好,這一直是我的教學信念,而且我又是要教運動員,只要孩子樂在其中便好了。</p><p>我決定拿2塊厚墊出來,當看到厚墊時,孩子都很興奮,我把2張厚墊壘起2層,有一定的高度,約在孩子的腰間,請孩子助跑跳上厚墊上,這目標簡單,助跑到厚墊前,屈膝跳起便可,所有人都做到。突然我看見,用剛才用的跨欄稍高於2層高的厚墊,有點像跳高的欄,但又不會太高,似是一個合適的高度目標,也相當安全。我決定試試看,請孩子在左邊排好隊,這樣孩子便不會正面跑向跳高的目標,稍為像比賽的助跑方式。我將跨欄放在厚墊前,示範一次較剪腳跳高,這也是我唯一懂得的跳高方法。然後任由孩子自由發揮。</p><p>最初大家都試用我的方法,但孩子天性愛挑戰,也極具創意,有孩子開始嘗試用不同的方法越過跨欄,最後,竟然有孩子自然用上俯越式的跳高方法。孩子們,你們真厲害,這次教學經驗裏,體驗到孩子的能力,遠高於我的想像,也明白,當人要超越極限時,自然會想一些新的方法,相信俯越式或背越式,都是在有人想超越極限,而發展出來的跳高方法。</p><p>我再次體驗,只要為自己設訂好目標,留意孩子的表現,適時的調整教學策略,容許孩子挑戰,孩子的創意,會讓學習變得更有趣,更見進步。</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>海星http://www.blogger.com/profile/06408882957018343245noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4871957848035842526.post-37822906368721654512024-03-15T05:07:00.001-07:002024-03-15T05:07:14.548-07:00跳遠教學近日,要教二年級跳遠,我用2塊厚軟墊代替沙池,請學生站在軟墊前立定跳遠。很快,排後面的學生,便站到老遠的地方起跑,這是意料之內的事,孩子總是不甘簡單的站定跳遠。<div>開始時,學生會玩各種花式,如轉身,趴下跳等,很開心,但跳不遠。</div><div>當興致來了,我請學生停下來,在軟墊上用粉筆畫一條線,定下起跳的線,要求同學要跳過。開始時,沒有人跳得過,原有的花式跳遠是跳不過的。學生開始改變跳法,有人開用正確的跳法跳過合格線了,然後一個一個都跳到,我再畫遠一點,請他們挑戰自己。</div><div>最後,比賽開始,每一個跳完,都畫下他們的落點,比上次能跳遠一點,便給予贊賞。</div><div>結果,有2個學生不單跳得遠,動作還很正確呢!</div>海星http://www.blogger.com/profile/06408882957018343245noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4871957848035842526.post-57296734968177860322024-03-09T20:11:00.000-08:002024-03-09T20:11:58.611-08:00如果我死了,她會哭<p><span style="font-family: 新細明體, "serif";">自然生活課,全校分批到後山,去不同的地方。我帶領五年級學生行山,遇到行在最後的低小女插班生,她停下來,等我,要我拖她的手一齊行。我們一邊行,一邊聊天,她問我年齡有多大?我回答是五十四。她問我會否會死?我想應該不會。然後,她請求我不要死。我問為什麼?她說如果我死了,她會哭。聽在心裏,感到被重視!</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 24.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-hansi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">大部份學生都是在競爭的環境長大,學校之間爭成績好的學生,家長排隊爭取入讀名校。學生學得很辛苦、不開心,他們不能從課堂裏,找不到學習的樂趣,因為老師家長教導小朋友讀書,只是為了遙遠的大學夢,畢業後和別人爭一份優差。讀書只是為滿足父母師長對升學的期待,忘卻了活在當下簡單的道理。長年在沉悶的課堂、競爭的環境中長大,又找不到學習目標,小孩子只好等待別人的安排,人變得被動,失去自信;個性反叛者,不時和老師父母作對,對社會越來越不滿,或走入岐途,甚至暴力相向。人漸漸失去應有的自信、承擔和負責任等公民素質。</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體;"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 24.0pt; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-hansi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">自然學校除了中文、英文、數學、常識、視藝、體育等常規課程外,最大的特色是生活課程和戶外學習。生活教育包括生活會議、生活法庭、勞動課等。生活會議是讓學生建立討論文化的基礎;生活法庭是讓學生用合理的途徑,處理人與人的紛爭;勞動課是讓學生明白勞動對自己身心有益,也讓少做家務的學生有學習的機會。生活教育還是簡樸生活的文化建立,更重要的是身教,在日常的學校生活裏體現出來的。自校學生不能帶垃圾零食和遊戲機;午膳要拿自己能吃的份量,拿多少,吃多少;要自己洗碗,以一套有效而不浪費食水的方式洗碗;這裏透過對話,澄清了解來化解爭執;家長會送來單面紙,供學校用來印製工作紙,給學生做堂課或家課;每當有人送贈傢俱,會請同學幫忙搬運;學生要輪流清潔自己的班房、搬運午膳的食材等;他們要擔任輪值法官、法庭大使、檢查碗筷清潔等工作。</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體;"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

space</span><span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">、表演舞台、一天台灣之旅及圓桌論壇,年會的日期及內容,可以每年不同,由主辦單位決定。今年主題講座邀請了世界知名,也是歷史最悠久,影響最多教育工作者的民主學校,夏山學校創辦人之孫</span><span lang="EN-US">Henry Readhead</span><span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">來演講。他的演講風趣優默,分享很多夏山學生寄宿生活的樂趣,其中的教育意義,對應家長的憂慮和擔心,及守護孩子之間的界線,讓學生教師們都能享受宿舍生活。他表示不管孩子是因為好奇、好玩或是惡意,只要侵犯別人的界線,便要立即阻止,讓孩子明白不是隨心所欲,便是自由,自由是有界線的。這麼難得的機會,待他演講完畢,我立即上前和他打招呼,表示希望能拜訪這所另類學校的先鋒,他也爽快答應,期待有一天能到夏山學校探訪。</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">七天的年會很快便過去了,很多精采活動未能參加及觀賞,例如花了七年拍攝的紀錄片「學習的理由」、一天的台灣之旅等。但隨著圓桌論壇而結束,大會正準備由四位年青學生,以四國語言,宣讀大會宣言的初稿,同行的香港教育大學老師,提示我請香港唯一的學生上台,以廣東話宣讀。我問同行的大學生,並和主辦單位商討這突發安排的可能性。負責的澳洲人想了一會,便立即答應,立即安排那大學生上台,成為最後一位宣讀宣言的人。那澳洲朋友事後表示,這真是展現民主精神的一刻呢!</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">自校的開學,並不是立即上課,第一週,我們讓孩子做不同的事情,例如勞動課、自然萬花筒、生活會議和生活法庭等。有一天,是四社認識,我負責帶領風社,簡單互相介紹以後,有同學希望能先玩集體遊戲。孩子都喜歡玩,也好,時間多著,於是請大家提出可以玩什麼。結果,大部份贊成玩兵捉賊。要分兵和賊的時候,有很人想做賊,不想做兵。反正只是跑動的遊戲,孩子樂於參與便好了。於是我表示,我做兵,想做兵的跟我一齊,結果,大部份人要做賊,只有四五個低小女生要做兵,孩子都喜被人捉的刺激感。</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體" , "serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">了解原因,事情便好辦了,既然認為做相同的題目很無聊,而我的目的,是希望孩子能從足夠的練習中,學習到數學的解題方法。剛巧我多印了幾份難度不同的工作紙,是預備給能力高的同學用的,於是我拿給他看,請他選擇做原有的改正,或是這一份難一點點的工作紙,但條件是要全部答對,錯了還是得改正。他沒想多久,便選了這份新的工作紙,而且工作態度明顯有改善,做錯了,會甘願改正,怨言少了很多。改正幾次以後,全對了,我口頭讚賞他,表示他是有能力做好的。</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">確實,過去畢業露營,一些深刻難忘的片段,都是和困難有關係。第一年的畢業露營是我帶領的,九個學生,三位導師,第一餐便要弄三個多小時,差不多九點多才能吃,而且味道奇差,淡而無味,因為大家在野外生火煮食的經驗都不夠。肚子餓,也只能吃,怱怱吃過,勉強吃了,稍為安慰肚子,吃到沒有餓的感覺便算了。盡管如此,這一餐,卻成了孩子們的共同回憶,聚會時,仍會為此事談笑一番。</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">還有一年,我當校長沒有去,當時準備最後一天去探營,卻收到老師的報告,竟遇上滂沱大雨,山洪暴發。老師有經驗,判斷危險將要來臨,立即離營躱避,剛巧附近村民願意收留一夜。患難見真情,孩子們團結一致,共渡艱難的時刻,相信比在書上學到的更多。天亮回到營地,裝備及衣服都濕掉了,部份物件被洪水沖走,只好提早一天離營。回到碼頭,大家分享這次洪水的學習,有學生分享在危急時,人要果斷,懂得捨棄,生命比什麼都要重要!</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">近日,視藝老師不單畫牆璧,還帶孩子畫地板。我發現有幾個學生,很努力地坐在走廊及視藝室的地板上,不停的畫,很是壯觀。有人二人合作,也有人是個人創作,我看有人畫迷宮似的圖案,更有一班同學有一個龐大計劃,他們要畫一個火車系統,由視藝出發連接操場及後花園,他們花很一整個下午在創作。可惜,操場不容學生用顏料畫,只能用粉筆創作,結果,那天晚上下雨,把地上的鐵路系流沖走了!在走廊上,另一個創作是跳遠場地,學生畫一條起跳線,而後每隔固定的距離畫一條線,用以量度跳遠的距離。這真是一個創意又實用的作品,我不時會看見學生會在這跳遠場地上比試較量,或測試自己跳遠的能力,有立定跳,也有助跑跳。</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;">一天,帶領全校學校攀登學校後面的觀音山,以此作為兩週後金秋拾趣行的訓練,觀音山約二百多米高,攀登的小徑是一條頗斜的碎石路。大部份學生都能成功登上高峰。不過,還是有一部能力較弱的學生未能完成,其中有兩人在旅程中的表現和態度,令人深思正念,如何幫助人從困難中走出去,而且一直保持勇氣和克服困難的決心。</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;">相反,另一位同學草蜢卻不停抱怨,一時抱怨山路難行,一時又抱怨同學在後面催促。如此她當然會走得很慢,所有同學都超越她了,到山下的水溪去玩水了,只有我和她一個人一同奮鬥。我看見真的有困難時,才幫她一把,大部份時間都是在鼓勵她,稱讚她不斷進步中,很有勇氣面對困難,今天是給她試練的好機會。</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="background: white; color: #252525; font-family: 細明體; mso-bidi-font-family: 細明體; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;">有人問,牠吃什麼?我說不知道。通常學生問我問題,我也不一定立即回答,我希望學生能自行發掘問題,尋找答案。所以,我建議學生們,試試找些東西來給牠吃,看牠會吃什麼動物?於是有人提議蝸牛,因為剛好那天下雨,教室門外有一隻非洲大蝸牛在爬行,我說好,試試看。他們那把隻比蛇還要大的蝸牛放在膠桶裏,沒多久,學生請我去看看,原來蝸牛爬了上來,逃走了。大家議論紛紛,雖然蝸牛行得慢,但有特殊能力,原來多滑溜的地方都能爬;原來蛇是不吃蝸牛的,或許是因為蝸牛有個大硬殼。<span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "新細明體","serif"; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 新細明體; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">記得,有一天晚上,我跟隨一班學生去泡湯,回程的車上,有同學也問對全人的看法,他很想了解我這外人,對全人的感受和觀察,我感受到他虛心發問的心情,欣賞他那愛護全人的意志,於是回答:「全人最精采的地方,是那豐富多采的選修課程和社團活動,有一個開放自由的校園環境,這讓學生能自由探索有興趣的事物,例如我在肢體課看見同學認真學習的一面;在戲劇課的期末演出,看見同學精采的演出;在單車課,看見同學和老師常常討論有關技術的磨練和器材的應用;這是我最欣賞全人的地方。」接著我再說:「不過,從學習的角度來,要掌握一門學問,可得下點苦功,要吃得苦,多少要有點意志力,才能學有所成。在一個自由的校園環境,要同學很專注的上課學習,似有難度,同學的意志力似有不足。」</span><span lang="EN-US"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
